The concept of holism from the medical point of view was created as a rebellion against the reductionistic approach of the contemporary biomedical model. The term, coined in 1926 was defined as the whole being greater than the sum of its parts and it is linked with the concept of holon, where something is simultaneously a whole and a part of something bigger. Since that time, the concept of holism has been evolving.
Holistic Medicine can be defined as an approach to health care that restores and maintains health and functions of the mind and body by treating the person as a whole within the context of family and community, not just the symptoms. The goal of Acupuncture is to restore your body's homeostasis and promote self-healing.

My Qualifications
My name is Nazan, and I am a full-time, experienced acupuncturist practising at Virtue Acupuncture in the North West London area (Queens Park). Initially, I gained my qualifications in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Escuela Neijing in Spain in 2006. Since then, I have been a dedicated practitioner of Chinese Medicine for over 15 years. I am a qualified Acupuncturist holder of a Bachelor of Science degree (Hons) in Acupuncture from Greenwich University, licentiate of the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) and registered Member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians with a particular interest in Classical Chinese Medicine.
In addition to running my acupuncture practice in North West London, I am currently studying year 4 of a Bachelor's Degree in Osteopathy to complement my skills.

Welcome to Virtue Acupuncture, my unique Holistic Medicine Clinic
At my practice, I don't just provide acupuncture treatments but genuine care. I listen to what my patients want and need (and hope) for their health and life. Armed with this information, I then put together an appropriate treatment plan tailored to individual needs. I enjoy bridging the gap between Chinese and Western Medicine while providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere to heal. As I keep my knowledge and skills up-to-date, I always integrate new treatments and therapies into my practice. I believe that continued learning is essential for any good acupuncturist.
