Is it safe?
When performed by a properly trained professional acupuncture is extremely safe and the risk of adverse events from acupuncture is extremely low. Sterile only-use disposable needles are use so there is no chance of infection or contagion.
Acupuncture is almost certainly a lot safer than any medication you may be taking for your complaint.
